The tour will start with the group pickup at Podere Concezione at 9:30, arriving on the Monte Amiata Volcano after an hour drive and we start the hike as soon as we get there. So from 10:30 to 13:00 we walk among the oldest beech forest in Europe, reaching the peak of the mountain at 1.738 m above sea level. We stop here and have lunch in one of the huts which will serve us with a traditional polenta dish - lunch break will be an hour long, until 14:00, please let us know if there any food intolerances or necessities of any kind that we should know about. Between 14:00 and 15:00 we will reach the van again and head towards the thermal hot springs of Bagni di San Filippo for a nice restoring dip in these magical waters. We’ll be here for an hour, and at 16:00 we will depart towards your accommodation so that you’re back at 17:00, in time to get ready for dinner.
There aren’t any major technical difficulties, though we ask you to wear suitable shoes for the hike, as to ensure your comfort and limit any safety risk. Please also bring or wear a bathing suit and pack a towel for the springs.
